Rotate or disconnect a key

Both actions live on Settings > Payment Providers, on the Stripe card. Rotating swaps the stored key for a new one; disconnecting removes it entirely and can be undone by connecting again.

Rotate the key

Once a key is saved, SSA never shows it again: the field displays a masked row (its first characters, a run of bullets, and its last four) with a Change key button next to it.

  1. Click Change key. The masked row hides and an empty Secret API Key field appears.

  2. Paste the new key.

  3. Click Test Connection to check it before saving, if you like.

  4. Click Connect. SSA verifies the new key's permissions the same way it did the first time, then saves it encrypted in place of the old one.

Disconnect the key

The Disconnect button only appears while a key is connected. Clicking it does not disconnect immediately: it opens an inline confirmation next to the button.
