The recurring revenue report MemberPress does not have.

When MemberPress bills through Stripe, it creates real Stripe subscriptions. SadAnalytics reads them with a read-only key and turns them into MRR, churn, retention and lifetime value, inside the same wp-admin.

What MemberPress shows you today

A members list, transactions, and a Reports page with sales and income by month. Nothing that gives you MRR, shows how it moved, or tells you whether the people who joined in March are still paying in September.

How SadAnalytics reads it

MemberPress creates a Stripe subscription for each recurring membership paid through Stripe. SadAnalytics reads customers, subscriptions, charges, invoices and prices from Stripe with a restricted key, spreads annual plans into a monthly figure, and matches each Stripe customer to their WordPress user by email.

Nothing is installed on the MemberPress side, and nothing changes in Stripe.

What you get

The monthly recurring revenue card: the headline figure, the number of subscriptions behind it, the change against last month, and a sparkline.
Your real MRR, with annual plans spread monthly and detected subscriptions counted.
The cohort retention heatmap: each monthly group of new members and the share still paying at one, three, six and twelve months.
Each signup month, followed for a year.
The customer drawer: the linked WordPress user, referral source, lifetime value, active subscriptions and the last 20 payments.

Three steps

    Install the plugin

    It is in review at WordPress.org. Once it is listed, go to Plugins, Add New Plugin, search for Sad Subscription Analytics, then Install Now and Activate.

    Paste a read-only Stripe key

    Read access to customers, subscriptions, charges, invoices and prices. Add products too if you want plan names.

    Run the first sync

    It runs in the background, and your dashboard fills in as it goes.

MemberPress questions

Does SadAnalytics change anything in MemberPress?

No. It never writes to MemberPress or to Stripe. It reads Stripe and keeps its own tables.

What about members on PayPal?

SadAnalytics reads Stripe only, so PayPal members are not included in the free plugin. SadAnalytics Pro, coming soon, will let you record them by hand.

Do annual memberships break the monthly number?

No. A $249 annual membership shows as $20.75 of MRR, which is what it is worth per month.
