Baremetrics, or a free plugin inside WordPress?
If you run a membership site on WordPress and bill through Stripe, you may not need a separate metrics service at all.
What Baremetrics is good at
Baremetrics is a mature, hosted subscription-metrics product built for SaaS companies. It reads Stripe and other billing systems such as Braintree, Chargebee and Recurly, segments your customers, models future revenue on its higher plans, and shows its dashboards in its own app with team logins.
Where it does not fit a WordPress membership site
It lives outside WordPress, so nobody on your site sees the numbers without another login. It does not know which WordPress user a Stripe customer is. Revenue that never touched Stripe does not arrive on its own: Baremetrics says it "won't automatically capture" ACH transfers, wire payments or manual invoicing, so those go in by hand, by sending them a CSV, or through its API. And its pricing is set for SaaS companies.
Baremetrics has no free plan, though it offers a free trial. Its plans are tiered by the yearly recurring revenue you track. As of October 2026 the entry plan is listed at $75 a month, and Baremetrics says annual plans can be up to 35% off, which brings it to about $49 a month. Check their pricing page for current figures. What SadAnalytics does instead
SadAnalytics is a WordPress plugin. The free plugin reads Stripe with a read-only key and shows MRR, churn, lifetime value, cohort retention and the reports that go with them inside wp-admin, with each customer matched to their WordPress user by email. It also spots recurring payments that Stripe never set up as subscriptions, such as WooCommerce renewals, and counts them in your MRR. SadAnalytics Pro, coming soon, will add the revenue Stripe never saw, Upcoming Payments, CSV export, and control over who can see SadAnalytics.

Questions
Is SadAnalytics a full replacement for Baremetrics?
For a WordPress membership site on Stripe, the core numbers are there: MRR, churn, LTV, retention, movement, cohorts. Forecasting, segments and a hosted team app are not what SadAnalytics does.
Can I run both?
Yes. Each connects to Stripe on its own. SadAnalytics only reads. Baremetrics' paid Recover add-on can retry failed invoices for you, so that part does act on your Stripe account.
